Parrish, FL Dining Room and Music Room Makeover

This Parrish, FL client was looking to update her music room and dining room. Embracing her existing dining room furniture and open floor plan, the design centered around making both spaces unique while cohesive. The result was a dramatic, yet elegant, transformation. The dining room was transformed by removing all of the detailed traditional molding and applying a dramatic black and gold wallpaper with a more modern rod iron chandelier, over sized floral arrangement and custom draperies. With a line of sight to the rarely used music room, that space was transformed to complement the dining room's color aesthetic and to make it a more functional and inspiring music room. The transformation was a success as the client utilizes the music room almost daily and loves the dining room's elegance.

Lakewood Ranch, FL - CC House Refresh

This project involved a complete refresh of the client's 5,000 square foot home. When originally purchased the space had a very distinct Mediterranean / Old World aesthetic - full of red and gold colors and ornate traditional finishes. The home's refresh involved a neutral and airy color palette with an eye towards a family friendly Transitional design. This transformation was achieved with the introduction of a neutral and light paint scheme throughout the entire house, along with sophisticated quartz countertops, hand-painted ceramic backsplash tiles, and complementary laminate flooring and carpet throughout. Every detail was considered - staircase bannister update, hardware selections and lighting elements, to name a few. Overall, the client achieved an elegant and open transitional space that could handle the family everyday living.

Lakewood Ranch, FL - Country Club East (Dining Room)

This client preferred a transitional dining room with a modern edge.  Incorporated into the space was a custom  round maple dining table painted in a silvery pearl  finish with custom dining room chairs in a gray and white linen patterned fabric. The large scale metal wall mirror reflects the gorgeous polished nickel and seedy glass LED chandelier which adds dimension to this medium sized space. The two abstract cityscape watercolors are originals from a local Florida artist. The waterfall, hand painted dark and light gray striped wallpaper ties the entire space together while adding visual contrast and interest to an open concept area. The large faux plants add texture to the space and create intimacy for entertaining.

Lakewood National - New Construction Vacation Home

This brand new vacation home was designed with a midcentury / modern flare in mind. The gorgeous custom built 12' fireplace feature wall, with large format faux cement tiles and maple wood panels, sets the tone for the large open concept space. The great room evokes a relaxed, yet sophisticated, feeling with a modern metal coffee table, leather reclining sofa, bright teal area rug and sleek accent furniture. The midcentury aesthetic continues on through to the kitchen dining area with dramatic wallpaper, soft gray, platinum rope and natural wood dining furniture and modern LED lighting fixtures that are both functional and stunning. The game room continues the overall design theme with a midcentury pool table that is punctuated with vibrant cubist artwork on the walls and a floating two-tier rectangular LED chandelier. A gorgeous entertaining and living space for many years to come.

Lakewood Ranch, FL - Country Club East

A sophisticated and serene master bedroom done in a tranquil teal, gray and white color palette. Prominent in this room is the gorgeous lucite, light gray leather and black nickel, custom Vanguard king bed. Unique artwork and accessories punctuate the modern / transitional design. Gray wood and white lacquer nightstands balance this heavenly space. Textures abound with alpaca frosted teal pillows.

Lakewood Ranch, FL - Country Club East Residence

A modern transformation of a newly constructed transitional home; specifically, the kitchen island, kitchen nook, entry way, master bathroom and guest bathroom, into a sophisticated grey and white modern design. The owner's colorful artwork punctuated the modern design aesthetic and brought cohesiveness to the newly created open floor plan.  This project involved the complete deconstruction and rebuild of the two bathrooms and kitchen island, along with the removal of many half and arched interior walls to create a light and open living space that took advantage of the great lake views. 

The general contractor for this project was James Anderson, LLC of Design and Build.

Lakewood Ranch,  FL - Country Club Residence

A blend of transitional and modern design describes the design aesthetic of this open concept ranch bungalow. Rich, dark espresso modern kitchen cabinetry complements the mottled blue and brown granite counter tops and blue glass back splash tile. A cohesive open concept living space is achieved with the strategic incorporation of various blue and brown tones throughout the home's space: living room wool and silk modern area rug,  blue wool dining room chairs, brown kitchen leather bar stools, etc. 

Over sized, custom made furniture and glass dining tables make multiple zones suitable for entertaining, while achieving a feeling intimacy for those one on one conversations. The flow of the main living room is extended further with 12' lanai glass sliders which open up onto a luxurious outdoor lanai seating area overlooking the pool.

Equally eye catching is the modern office space with it's hand painted wallpaper, custom made white lacquer and lucite office furniture and grand ceiling fixture. Every where throughout the home the eye is captivated with the abundance of colorful modern / abstract artwork and unique design vignettes.

Norwalk, CT - Condo

Time for a change ... this client wanted a complete transformation from a french country aesthetic to a sophisticated transitional / modern one.  Of equal importance to the client was creating a design that incorporated a neutral color pallet with organic forms, materials and textures. Three spaces were redesigned: living room, dining room and master bedroom. Throughout  the design a variety of wood finishes and rattan caning was incorporated, along with light colored linen and chenille fabrics to capture an organic and textural feel and sophisticated look.

From a more modern perspective, metal accents were selectively introduced with lighting, accent tables and in the dining room table's finish details. The blend of organic, transitional and modern all works beautifully in this space!
